Chasing the Wind

Time to be pious and quote some scripture verses:
You do not know about tomorrow. What is your life like? For you are a puff of smoke that appears for a short time and then vanishes. You ought to say instead, “If the Lord is willing, then we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:14-15; NET)But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that the extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us.... Therefore we do not despair, but even if our physical body is wearing away, our inner person is being renewed day by day.
